Masterclass aim:

This Masterclass will enhance planners’ understanding of the heritage and conservation dimensions of planning in relation to other aspects of planning and placemaking.
This masterclass is suitable for:

  • Experienced planners who might be seeking to maximise the impact and effectiveness of their work
  • Planners who want to know more about this specific topic as part of their job role,
  • For those planners who wish to specialise in heritage and conservation in the future and looking for practical examples to see how this works

Learning objectives:

  • By the end of this masterclass, you will understand the related regulations and process building blocks of heritage and conservation using practice examples and case studies
  • Explore planning application in a complex and contested environments with many other interests in play
  • Discover how heritage assets are assessed, analysed, and reported

CPD Masterclass structure:

You will start with the Self-guided Learning that consists of Trainer’s video presentations and exercises on the RTPI Learn platform. This flexible learning prepares you for the Live Interactive Webinar with your Expert Trainer to address your questions and for the discussions with your peers. The Self-guided Learning section will take at least 4 hours to complete. The Joining Instructions are sent on the day that the Self-guided Learning opens, or after your booking has been processed, if booked after the Self-guided Learning start date.

Masterclass booking guidance

  • RTPI Members have to log into their RTPI account to make the booking
  • Booking for non-members can be done as a group booking by their administrators
