Chartered Town Planner apprentices are all entitled to free student membership of the RTPI. Once you have passed through Gateway you will be elected as a Licentiate member for the duration of your End Point Assessment. The fee for your End Point Assessment including your Licentiate membership application will be paid from your apprenticeship funding by your training provider.

Yes it can be the same person as long as they are able to fulfil all of the roles and complete the relevant forms.

You may find it helpful to keep track of the competencies in your Reflective Journal especially when you are undertaking the case studies for the APC as this will help you to identify any gaps. Competencies are assessed through the APC written submission.

• Apprentices should work towards completing the EPA in the 12-month timeframe. This is a recommendation rather than a requirement. You may take longer than 12 months for a variety of reasons, such as, you have had to complete a retake of your Professional Discussion and/or had to resubmit your APC.
